UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls

South Africa is a beautiful country, of lovely people. Unfortunately, Interpol says it is also the Capital of the World for Abuse against Women where Gender Based Violence has reached epidemic proportions. To combat this The Joe Slovo Foundation is helping build the capabilities of communities to support victims recover from abuse. The Foundation is also supporting the rolling out of a FREE Mobile Rescue Alarm Service for girls & women to use when they feel in danger that instantly sends multiple alarm messages to local community, family and friends with their location so they can react urgently to prevent further violence.

South Africa is The Rape Capital of the World - say Interpol - where 1/3rd of all females have been or will be Raped. The Joe Slovo Foundation got fed up with people talking lots BUT doing little, so we are rolling a Mobile Rape Rescue Alarm Service for girls & women to press when they feel in danger that instantly sends multiple alarm messages to local community, family and friends with their location so they can respond urgently; prevent the rape & catch the rapist. 3312 Girls and Women will be Raped in South Africa within the next 24 Hours

The Joe Slovo Foundation is raising funds to suport various groups helping female victims of Abuse, Violence  and Assault recover by improving the capacity of local communities to treat survivors .

The Foundation is also extending a means of protection for the women and girls against further abuse and helping educate communities to prevent future violence and encourage behaviour change
